Venue
The memorial will take place at the Samberg Center (50 Memorial drive in Cambridge).
If you are using the MIT map, this is building E52.
Please note that we are using multiple rooms over the course of the event.
The talks and reception will be on the 7th floor, starting in Salon I.
The dinner will be on the 6th floor in dining rooms 5 and 6 (they will be combined for this event).
Accessing the Venue
The Samberg Center is locked outside of regular business hours. We will have a volunteer opening the door near the beginning of the event and preceding the reception. If you are arriving at these times then you will have no trouble getting in. Please use the revolving door on the north side of the building.
If you would like to access the building independently, you can use the Atlas App.
In order to do this, please download the MIT Atlas App to your phone. You will need to:
1. Create a guest account
2. Then click this event link in order to gain access.
Logging in will allow you to access a QR code for the event. Please note that you will need to do this at least one hour before the start of the event. Note: if you click “request access,” this will take you through a different process. Please use the event link after creating your account.
If you are closed out of the Samberg Center, please contact Wolfgang Ketterle at 617-908-3793. Someone will come down to let you in.
Parking
Parking will be available in the East Garage (Sloan) starting at noon. Please use the address 100 Main Street, Cambridge, MA in your navigation program of choice. There will be an attendant at the garage to allow you in; simply let them know that you are there for the Kleppner Memorial. Parking for the event is free for attendees. The garage is accessible, as is the Samberg Center (both have elevators).
